I have a room lighting rule that for some reason occasionally does not turn the light off.
I have a C7 running platform 2.3.9.158
The logs show the motion sensor as inactive and at the same time the logs atae the light was turned off.
But the light is still on , also the dashboard shows the light as being off.
To turn light off I have to turn light on using the dashboard and then off again to make it actually turn off.
I have another rule the same for another room that works perfectly.
I have tried deleting rule and the re writing but it still happens, I am beginning to think a hardware problem and to start swapping the sensor etc to another room .
Hi, I had somehow the same issue with some switches and activating ''Turn off even if already partially off'' solved my issue. The same for activating lights not turning on.

i have an issue is kinda similar, i have a motion sensor, that turns on the light, but the motion sensor never goes inactive now that i have setup this app and so the lights doesnt go off...
Maybe im doing something wrong, what i need is to turn on when motion detected, if no motion is detected then turn off after 5min, but if during those five minutes i go back in and detect another motion to dont turn off or reset the 5min until it goes back again inactive...
The motion sensor not going to inactive when it should is something seperate from this RL setup -- RL doesn't have the ability to control when a motion sensor goes active/inactive.
So if you go to the device settings page for the motion sensor, the States in the upper right corner of that page don't match the sensors actual value? In other words it should say Active on that page when there is motion, and Inactive when there is no motion.
If those States are incorrect, the motion rule will never work correctly.
i restart the sensor and worked, i dont know if i set up the rule the best way or most efficient to do that but didit with what i understood it should work...
