Hi, I have a Philips motion sensor activating a lutron smart switch. There are also Lutron Picos that control the switch. I want to disable motion activation when I press a button (e.g., hold button 1). I got it working in Room Lighting, but it doesn't work in the way I expected. If I press the disable button prior to motion activation, it works as expected. But if I walk into the room and trigger motion, then press the disable button, while the the scheduled off is timing out, it doesn't disable. Rather, it does disable, but only on the next activation. I guess it doesn't disable / cancel the current job?
There is a similar sections in the Means to Turn Off section, where you can disable turning the lights off using a switch or various other options. Personally I would suggest using a virtual switch that you control through RM rules or Button Controller (or other apps), so that you can adjust how and where you disable the motion lighting, without needing to keep adding to the setup in RL.
You are right, I had to think in terms of avoiding turning the lights off instead of cancelling the motion sensors. I made a hub variable that is set in RM by holding the Pico switch, and then read in RL to keep the light on when the timer times out, by means of "limit turning off under these conditions". Simple. Thanks!
