This may be a noob question, but I have tried looking for an answer and experimenting without success.
My scenario:
Multiple switches (mostly virtual) to turn on Philips Wiz RGB lights.
Starting at preset levels when lighting up
Possibility to slide the dimming slider to increase or decrease the level.
All of this goodness done in Rules and Room Lightning
I can do 1 and 2 using virtual switches. But I cannot for the life of me create a "Switch" with "Dimming functionality" - basically a sliding level of intensity which works.
Can someone pretty please guide me through how this is done?
You should use the Activator Device in Room Lights. This creates a virtual device. Setting that virtual device can cause the lights set in Room Lights to follow and be set accordingly.
You can even use Wiz scenes in Room Lighting. You may need to ensure your activator device is using 'Room Lighting Activator Bulb' on the activator device page.
Feel like a complete noob. I tried everything from creating virtual switches and dimmers and even rules since I couldn't make it happen... and it was that simple...why didn't I think of that?
