You’d need to screenshot the full rules. But even if the light has been turned on elsewhere RL can still turn it off unless you add the option for ‘don’t turn off if already on’
This. ^^^ When you're asking for help with rules or other automations, you really need to provide screenshots of the automations your talking about.
In this case you'd want to provide screenshots of both the RL automations, and the Rule Machine automations you're using to call them. Otherwise we'll just be guessing about what the problem might be.
sorry had work trip - I figured out the issue in the rule - however just now dawned on me to use the required expression in the RM rule so if the lights are it doesn't run the rules every time there is motion
Edit however i still cannot figure out why the RL rule that not even getting activated is till puting in the turn off rule ?
@johnwill1 I think i found it - I have the force on - why ? becuase i have lots of issues with this now turning on or turning off so having the Force was a way for things to have a second chance to get the commands
