Roller blinds recomendations

Greetings all.

I am trying to find an internal roller blinds motor that works with hubitat.
I have searched the forum a few times, to see what others use.
But most seem to use the external motors that pull the roller blinds chain or use devices that are only sold I the US.

Brands that I have easy access to that I have seen mentioned are motion blinds, aqara and zemismart internal roller blinds motors.

If anyone has tried these I would love to hear your thoughts and recomendations.

If you have a blind that uses (or can be fitted with) an AC or DC tubular motor in the roller, you may have more options - Shelly/Qubino, Fibaro/Nice and Aeotec do Z Wave roller shutter modules. I use these for my curtain tracks that have 230V AC motors fitted as well as my garage roller door (I did away with the standard controls and just fitted a Fibaro Roller Shutter 3). Those modules allow control from Hubitat while also allowing local control via switches connected to the module (full control available even if the hub goes down/is offline)

I have nine Smartwings roller shades paired and working with Hubitat. I purchased the shade color and style I liked from them, but I've also purchased a motor only to replace a Matter motor with the Zigbee version (can't get Matter working here). The new motor slid right into the tube. I haven't tested them with other tubes, but the motors appear to fit 1.5"/38mm tubes.

What did you end up going with? I'm looking to outfit a few rooms with roller shades and would love a more economical version than what I can find right now.

same question here. Which switch works the best and reliable? Is the Fibaro Shutter 4 compatible with hubitat? Or is the Aeotec Pico Shutter working fine?
Any ideas or recmandations?

Thanks in advance

You can also look at options that are compatible with a Bond bridge, which has a built-in integration. This can control a variety of blinds, fans, etc. I personally have Somfy motors in my blinds, which are not cheap, but work very well.

I'm not looking for shades or shutters itself. I do already have the shutters installed but would like to integrate them into my hubitat system with a smart switch.

Is there nothing out there which is compatible with hubitat?

Probably depends on the motors / shades you have. I'm probably not across the devices you are quoting to o know what is possible.

I have already electrically full installed shutters with a usual shutter switch (230 V). Now I'm looking for a shutter switch like the pico shutter switch from Aeotec or the fibaro shutter switch to the smart one into my existing hard wired shutters.
From my point of view the share/shutter is not relevant in regard of compatibility. It's the smart switch itself which needs to work with hubitat.

It is likely my lack of understanding for yours and others setup. Mine relies on the hub (Bond in my case) interacting with the blinds / motors. If I understand it correctly your choice of switch is replacing my need for Bond, which makes sense, and something I can't help with :slightly_smiling_face:

@jb1 - For 3 wire 230V shutter motors (open, close, neutral) I've use both the Fibaro Shutter 3 and the Qubino Flush Shutter in my system.

Fibaro shutter 3 - I've used that for my garage door. As it's a roller shutter I basically pulled out the existing controls and connected the 230V tubular motor to the Fibaro module to which I've also got a two way retractive, centre off switch for local control. No issues at all. I did have some problems using the Fibaro Shutter 3 with my curtain motors which are also 230V 3 wire (Dooya DT50S). On those the Fibaro struggled to sense the load and stops on the motor so I used....:

Qubino Flush Shutter - that works great. Similar scenario to the garage door; I have the 230V motors wired direct to the Qubino module and have a 2 way retractive centre off switch adjacent each curtain for local control. I did myself a Visio drawing at the time (when I intended to draw out and document everything I've done Smart home wise....never happened lol)
