Ring V2 (G2) Contact Sensors Closed not Registering

I just installed two Z-wave contact sensors and they send battery, open, and closed correctly, but for some reason, the closed never registers as an event. I tested before installing yesterday, and you can see open/close working fine. Then they registered an open and the driver seems to be ignoring the closed state. Very weird. See logs and events...

Note: I am using the built in device type "Ring Alarm Contact Sensor G2"

Odd.. I have a ton and they have never given me any trouble

Any idea what is wrong for me?

Try an exclude, and re-introduce the sensor.
Have two of these sensors, and they can be a bit wonky on HE.
(on HA they work solid)

I fixed the issue. Not sure why I had it to begin with...

1. I updated the device type to generic zwave contact sensor
2. saved the device
3. Opened/closed the door.
4. I updated the device back to ring alarm contact sensor G2
5. saved the device

Both are working.

I'm having the same issue & "fixed" it by changing it to the "Ring Alarm Contact Sensor" (V1) driver. I feel like this shouldn't be an issue. Did the issue become recurring to you? If this is recurring, I'm going to change the devices out...
