I have two Ring Alarm Outdoor Contact Sensor - 1st Gen - 2021 release devices on an H8. They're both paired successfully using SmartStart Manager, and for many months (11 months!) have been working fine. Within the last couple of weeks, they started to show always open. I have a Rule Machine routine to email me when the gate gets left open for more than 45 minutes. Every time the gate is opened and then closed, it trips the routine because the closed event is not sent, but the next open event is.
Sometimes in the debug log, it actually reports open when the gate is closed!! West Gate (log shown below) was opened and closed twice, but I logged 4 open events!
I've seen some old threads about this, but I didn't find any solutions. Seems like they just started working again for some people, or they worked again after a reboot. I've tried rebooting, but nothing changed.
Anyone have an idea what the problem could be and how to fix it? Thanks!
