Hey there,
Let me start with saying I started in the commercial/residential automation field back in the early 80s. This is not my first rodeo.
I'm looking to start a new home automation services venture, but one that is more down to earth in terms of costs than a Control4, Savant, Crestron, etc. Though I personally have used every low-cost/no-cost system out there (Vera, HomeSeer, Home Assistant, etc) I would never inflict those systems onto paying customers. I want something that is more or less plug-n-play in terms of form factor and warranty exchanges and services.
In terms of my current research, I've narrowed down possible candidates to Hubitat and Homey. Because I am US based, I am leaning towards Hubitat. But I have many questions:
- Does Hubitat support resellers/systems integrators?
- Why am I asking these questions here? Because there is no direct contact information (phone number or pre-sales email) for the company on the website. When I tried to submit the contact form it errors out.
- Are there facilities for multi-location support, ie, remote admin one-to-many model?
- Integrator support for new/custom drivers?
I'm sure I have other questions, having some sort of company contact would go a long way.
Any insights welcomed and appreciated.
