[Resolved] Today I am seeing 40 second delays in most light switches

Seeing a 40 second delay when a switch is pressed before another device sees any commands.
Seeing a 40 second delay when a button on a dashboard is pressed before the light responds.
I changed nothing in my home.
Am not looking forward to rebuilding my system again.
I have two C7s, one in the house and one in the garage.
I have 1 hue hub.
I have 1 Lutron hub.
Various wifi and zwave devices, all of which worked prior to today.
Just wondering if anyone else has seen anything like this, so bizarre...

I think you need to be more specific with where the action occured and what type of devices are slow to reapond. You mention slow to respond when you press a switch then you say it is when you press something on a dashboard. Then you mention 4 different hub devices as well as you have wifi and zwave devices.

Can you help by providing some details of what you are trying to trigger and then how the action device is connected as well.

Or is it just all devices are slow.

Have you checked logs to see how processing is going

Have you tried simply rebooting the hub?

It is not as bizarre as it seems. Unlike cloud based systems, where delays can be widespread due to cloud outages, Hubitat's decentralized system only affects local environments, so the likelihood that anyone is experiencing the same delays as you, are nearly impossible.

Speaking of no changes, even if you don't make physical changes to your environment, connected devices and integrations make changes on your behalf every second. So if a device or an integration is misbehaving, then you could certainly see the effects in noticeable delays or even hub lockups.

The best part is that troubleshooting problems is not as difficult as some may think. I suggest visiting your hub's logging and screening for errors and warnings. For more tips on troubleshooting more specific problems, check out this document: How to Troubleshoot Your Hub | Hubitat Documentation

I wouldn't worry about rebuilding system, oftentimes identifying the misbehaving device or integration is all it takes to regain stability of your environment.

Problem Solved!

As a last ditch attempt to get things running again I killed the main power to the house for 10 minutes and then switched it back on, guess what, everything is working again....

Wish I knew what device was causing trouble.

Thanks for your help!

You might want to keep an eye on the hub logs to see if thereโ€™s a failing device that starts spamming the network, or a similarly spammy app, as possible explanations for what happened.
