[RESOLVED] Just received C8 - no light, nothing

I had to return my C7 as it wasn't working with my locks.
So, I ordered C8 and I just received it. Unfortunately, there is no light at all. tried a different power adapter, but no luck. Sent video to JB. Please respond

It's Sunday evening and both our shipping department and support are closed. Someone will get back to you tomorrow. I'm sure we will take care of the problem for you. We are seeing a very low failure rate of the power in C-8. Every hub is powered up before shipment, so this is quite unusual.

You might try a different cable, if you haven't already.

Hey folks, is the no light scenario only a power issue? Just opened mine after hustling down the street to get the mail. Plugged in -- I get no LED, but the ethernet port on my hub comes on when it's plugged in. I can RMA, but is there any other potential option? I do see where it grabbed a DHCP addr (based on mac) but it's not responding to a ping even though I've got link.

The only thing that is remaining now is pairing with Schledge lock - BE469ZP :frowning: which is NOT working at all.

I would highly appreciate it if someone can facetime and walk me through how they did it. Please

I don't have that lock but one thing I have learned about Schlage locks is they need to be very close to the hub in order to pair.

Lock and hub are less than 6 inch apart :slight_smile: I removed the locks from door to get it closer to C8

Factory reset the lock

Disconnect the battery and press the Schlage button. Reconnect the battery within 10 seconds, then hold the Schlage button until it's the green check mark blinks 3 times

Start pairing the lock

If it doesn't pair after that, please post your z-wave details page in its entirety

The device is completing bootstrapping and no further action is needed. It will show up below once bootstrapping has completed. - after this message i get the red cross.

unfortunately that line is now a ghost.. try removing it by doing an exclude on the lock before anything else..
once removed try rebooting the hub ..

you may try rebooting the hub and waiting a few minutes as well before trying the exclude to
remove it.

also are you sure it didnt pop up asking for the id for s2 inclusion.. that type of entry would happen if dont do that.. it starts including then stalls. not sure what happens if you put the wrong code in? possibly the same thing?

also dont follow the other guys advice resetting it before trying to exclude it to remove the entry.. otherwise exclude will NOT remove the entry.

  3. did the complete reset of the door lock
  4. no, i didn't put the security while inclusion

that may be your issue i think some locks require s2 security and will not pair otherwise.. repeat rinse,... try with s2 security

where do i find s2 security code?

should be on the back of the lock or on card that came in box with the lock..

us under the zwave plus logo on the device. you probably will need magnifier on your phone to see it lol..

talking to customer service. i don't save manuals :). no luck reaching them. Will try again tomorrow. Thanks!

I am now at a point to throw these locks. what locks should i buy that will work with Hubitat?
