Reset Z-Wave Radio | Best Strategy

It looks like I'm up for a full z-wave radio reset in the next few days.
The issues started when my Schlage BE469 stopped communicating with the HE. Later we discovered more and more issues with other z-wave nodes that couldn't join the mesh routing during a z-wave repair. I've been in contact with Bobby about those issues, he actually suggested that a full z-wave reset might be the easier troubleshooting path.

So my question, if I start over fresh setting up the z-wave mesh - is there a recommended strategy, order, or best practice to make the mesh as stable as possible (with the ultimate goal to get the lock included again)?

I have 2 Aeotec 6 repeaters, 2 GE z-wave plus switches, 1 Leviton outlet, 1 Dome shut-off valve, 2 GoControl sirens, and a whole bunch of battery powered sensors and sirens, and of course the lock.

Also, should I try to exclude the devices, that are still available in the z-wave network, before initiating the z-wave reset?
This z-wave radio reset won't affect the zigbee network, right?

I understand that, yes, you should exclude all devices before resetting your Zwave.
You don’t want devices thinking they’re still connected to your old mesh.
Although I’m not an expert on this stuff.
And what you do on Zwave will not affect Zigbee.

With regards to resetting your mesh perhaps email Support@ and ask for their recommended steps to follow as they’re already aware of the issues you’re experiencing.

Exclude the devices first. Then, first pair the Aeotec Range Extenders, then the GE switches/Leviton outlet and the Dome valve. Then do a z-wave repair. Wait for it to complete, and then start adding your battery powered devices.

As @njanda said, this won't affect your zigbee mesh.

It might be worth rolling back to 2.1.5, up to yesterday my 6 Z-wave devices worked perfectly, I installed 2.1.6.118 and this morning, nether of my Yale locks would respond and one of the Aeotec sockets had disappeared from Zwave listing, on top of that lights that are controlled by the weather app were coming on/off due to web cache not working right

I reverted back several times until I got to 2.1.5 and it all started working. must be easier than excluding and including lots of sensors.

Then again it could just be a co-incidence that zwave locks started playing up after an update

I’ve got 2 x Aeotec gen6 outlets, 2 x gen5 outlets and 5 or 6 Zwave door / window sensors running on 2.1.6.118 without issue.
At least I think they’re OK as I’m outta town.

Like I said in the post it could be a coincidence that everything went weird straight after an update.

My yale locks seemed fine, until someone knocked on the door and I found the outer hadn't unlocked as it was supposed to, even though the rule had run and wouldn't unlock from either device page or the dashboard.
