I just bought 2 Hue bulbs that I was going to pair directly to my HE hub. Before I got started, I decided to reset them. After trying to figure out how, it appears you cannot reset them without a Hub hub or dimmer. Is that true? I don't want to install the bulbs if I can't reset them later if necessary. TIA for any info.
What generation are they? If they are new enough to have Bluetooth, you can use the Hue Bluetooth app to pair them to your phone or tablet and reset them that way. Otherwise, I believe you'll still need some sort of Zigbee remote, such as the Hue Dimmer but likely many others, or a Hue Bridge (I thought I read that the newer generations also were going to add some on/off sequence like many other brands have, but I never saw anything actually happen that I remember).
Thanks @bertabcd1234. I installed the Hue app and was able to reset them via Bluetooth.
