Reset event history, etc back to defaults globally

Running a C8 (non-pro) on 2.5.x, and wondering if there's a way to set event history, and related settings, back to their default settings across the board. Years ago I dropped it way down and it's become annoying to try to troubleshoot issues with the values so low.

Thanks!

Easiest way may be to install the built in Preference Manager app and adjust the Max Event/States Days.

Ah, didn’t know that was a thing. What are the defaults?

Been a while but IIRC 100/100 were the original settings.

It"s 20/100. Going through an update AWS.

I'm not seeing those settings in the list of Preference Manager app... am I missing something?

If you go in by Preference Name

Nope.

Is there some place you have to enable advanced preference visibility?

It seems like it shows preferences based on devices/apps that are installed. Possibly you have some other app exposing that setting that it's reflecting? Like I don't see "DB Size Polling" or "Check for Firmware Update" etc.

Those two are from the Hub Information Driver, the Event and State Days should be a universal one.

Installed Hub Information Driver v3 (and created Virtual Device), no sign of those fields. Also installed the app, same. =/

Did you set up the desired polling schedules for the options you want to track within Hub Info Driver?

ahhh... there we go. Okay. Sorry, guess i missed that part of this driver/app combo. =)

Once it polls everything will see if those settings show up. Thanks!

There now, up top. Had to reload the preference data in the Preference Manager

So definitely need the Hub Info Driver to make these show up.

Though now looking, that's days... and it just shows 0-4, meaning it's looking at the Queue values from the Hub Info Driver, not the actual value to set it to. =/

Okay let's put that aside for the moment and just go to the endpoints:

http://<hubIPaddress>/hub/advanced/event/limit/2000
http://<hubIPaddress>/hub/advanced/deviceStateHistorySize/2000

Right. But are those the defaults? That's kinda what I've been chasing. =/

Like I said above I believe the default might have been 100 for each.

Just reset a hub and got it up and going.

Looks like it's 11 and 30. Which seems low... I do seem to recall it being much larger in the past.
