I was wondering if there are people on this forum who do smart home installations / integrations for a living with Hubitat...etc. I'd like to pick your brain on your experiences and get some advice.

I know of Control 4 guys, and a few others - but not hubitat hubs. I've always thought of the HE as more of a roll your own thing.
Yes there are at least a few installers that are active here.
@erktrek, @ronv42, @jtmpush18 and @silverton38 come to mind.
I have worked with a home builders and electricians to plan and install smart home solutions and do some integration. It's a side work since the market doesn't seem to have the momentum to sustain this type of work outside of custom home projects and consulting.

I have pulled out so many Control 4 systems. I would not recommend that as a solution.
Au contraire. Control4 is a great system for the certain use cases and I would totally recommend using it in those cases. Control4 offers great AV control/automation, good control UI, very high reliability, and very good support. None of the home automation systems on the market today are perfect, all have their uses.
I visited a very large home in Ann Arbor Michigan that used Control 4 for their lighting and media room. I was impressed how they got all the high end audio profiles to be integrated into a dashboard. They were able to tune the sound to live sports, movies, TV shows, etc and then match it to the lighting. Whoever consulted on that installation did a really bang up job.
Now the Crestron guys drove me crazy when doing some work with a confernece center here in Illinois. The AV guys and I built out some great ideas for modular room re-configuration that were adaptive and the quote from Crestron cancelled almost everything that we designed.
A good design is worth the cost. And a bad design is worth nothing. My in-laws put a Savant system in their house. Between non-tech savvy people developing requirements and a mediocre dealer what a disaster.
