When I mesh a device to another hub, the Device Name on the receiving device has the name DEVICE on SENDING HUB NAME. I then manually copy the DEVICE part and paste it into the Device Label. Reason is that the Device List looks better. Can anybody think of a way to automate this? Yes, I am that lazy.
I think it's been requested a few times to be able to set if you want the meshed hub name on the device or not, but apparently HE doesn't feel it is a popular request so never been addressed.
I thought I remembered someone posting a app for renaming meshed devices automatically, but I can't find the post now. I meant to check it out, but since I already have everything setup I never did.
I wrote an app to make the labeling easier. Perhaps it will help.

I missed that thread. I'll take a look and see. Interesting that somebody labeled it Solution before I even looked at it.
Just took a look, and wow. It would have been perfect (and will be in the future). I found that using a search string of 'on ', without the quotes, list only the ones to change. I feel safer doing it that way. Thanks @JDC
And by the way, it found 2 that I had missed. Cool, as the kids say.
Glad that it worked for you. Another way to focus on the new ones: select the option to display only devices without labels. That will detect only the " on " devices.
