I have a sensor that shows open when door is open. How can I repeat the action of playing "red alert" every 5 minutes the door remains open?
New to Hubitat C8 and appreciate your help.
There's a repeat option under actions. You can use "repeat while" and set it to your contact sensor being open; just set the time to 5 minutes. Put your notification inside the repeat loop.

Will this work? Or do I need a condition inside the repeat? Right now there is just the original trigger.

No, you need to use the while expression loop. And have condition of while open. That will cancel the repeating then once it's closed.
Currently when it starts your never be able to stop it.
You may also need to remove the trigger stays part as I think the repeat will do that once the above is done.
Yes much easier, but no way to play an alert mp3 file to Google speakers?
