I'm trying to repeat an action with the trigger being the "Run Actions " button from within the RM rule. This is partially an exercise in trying to understand RM, and partialy to accomplish something.
Trying to have a zigbee plug go on for 3 seconds, off for 2 seconds, then repeat n times. Since I don't really have a trigger, I figured I could simply start the sequence by clicking "Run Action" in the rule. I can't get this to work.
For those wondering, googling indicates that some rechargeable batteries that won't recharge can be brought back to life by taking them in and out of the charger repeatedly for 15-30 minutes. The theory is they are discharged so low the charger does not recognize them, but it takes the charger about 3 seconds after power connection to the battery to throw a fault. During that 3 seconds, the battery charges. If you do this enough, you bring the battery back up to where the charger will recognize and charge it. I am trying to automate this with a zigbee plug.
This is the rule, but it only runs once...
