Removeable Double sided tape?

I had a wall tablet hanging with four of those at one point, so I could take it off the wall and put it back. The tablet never fell off, but I went with slide-in brackets in the end instead as it was easier to remove the tablet from the wall.

One of those velcro strips could easily hold a sensor, but they are pretty thick with the two layers of velcro added.

The velcro command strips don't work well in high heat environments. I had some stuff attached to the back of a TV and the adhesive side failed after a couple years.

Yea. I tend to use vhb on the back of tvs.

Yep, the velcroish picture-hanging command strips are what I use for all my wall/ceiling -mounted battery devices -- works like a boss.

I often use the white fabric carpet underlayment tape.
Very thin and sticky and removes without residue.

I don't use command strips. I've had the same sensor with a square velcro piece on a column on my porch for 4 years. And 2 sensors on my water hears for 3

Thanks for this. Since I have some of this, I'll give it a try first, instead of purchasing either the VHB or the thin command strip tape. Appreciate it.

For those suggesting velcro - for this application, the velcro makes it too thick, however velcro with or with the command strips is a terrific solution that I've used for sensors where that need battery changes where thickness does not matter.

The point of the command strips is easy removal. More permanent stuff is a PITA to clean off if nothing else. For something sturdier but still repositionable I'd use 3M Dual Lock

You are right, but I don't care on the back of tvs. It could be a mess of old tape back there and I would not care.

Arrived today and stuck up a lux sensor for the first try. Looks like it's going to work well, and doesn't take much at all to hold up a sensor. Will be interesting to see how it lasts when I remove the sensor to change batteries.
