Remotec Relay

Read my reply above. It is a dry contact.

We are talking about the alarm board only. If there is a dry contact output on the Alarm board then you are set. But it must not contain any voltage. Dry contacts have been known to have one side tied to a voltage on the board but that won't work.
See if there are contacts coming from a relay (C and NO) and when the alarm goes off see if those 2 contacts form a short and then go open when the alarm is off. Hopefully you have an Ohm meter.

There is no voltage coming from the alarm except the 12vdc to energize the relay. The remotec has 120v at the trigger terminals waiting for a button or switch to make contact.
I also got it to work with a specified time on and off. Maybe SL is not the way to go and RM ?????

Ok, so you are saying that the remotec has 120VAC on the Neutral and Line inputs, yes? In your case the 2 RL outputs will not be used. Also do you have a relay output from the Alarm board, C and NO (no voltage on relay contacts) connected to the 2 S/W inputs on the remotec, yes?

If all that is true then here is an example of a rule. You can add on to it whatever you may want, it is just a start.

Trigger:
If remotec switch has changed

Action:
If remotec switch is on, then
turn on lights A and B

Else
Turn off lights A and B

ENDIF

Yes to all your questions. So how do I add this code? Like I said I am real new to this.
Thanks for help.

Wait....hold on a second...let's finish one thing first. Did switching parameter 2 to 3 get it to read correctly?

Sorry I didn't see that. I will do that now.

I changed parameter to 3 but it didn't work. Here is something. I have a MIMO2 and just included and it shows up in the device list and when I open the SL and it asks What switch? The Remotec never showed up but the MIMO is there. When I setup the app What Light? Security Turn ON. Which switch?
It should be the Remotec, right?

Wait...hold on....the "other relay" you talked about is a Mimo 2? Then you don't need the remotec at all. Just trigger off the Mimo2.

I was trying to get the Remotec to work. It is strange that I didn't see it in the list in the app but the device list shows it there. Am I correct thinking that in SL the swtich is Remotec or MIMO if I chose to keep the MIMO?

Sorry, you've lost me.

This is what I meant. MIMO is there but Remotec is not but in devices it appears. So Which switch? Should be the relay either Remotec or MIMO,correct?
So I connected the MIMO and put 5v to SIG1. Change SL to reflect MIMO and nothing. I also check Relay 1 on MIMO and it never changed state NC to com remained NC and NO remained NO. I can't believe that I can't get either one to work.

Did you change the Type back to ZFM-80 on the device page for the remotec.

Ok I changed to Remotec when alarm relay made contact with trigger switch the security lights came on and stay on . I even changed Device to turn off in 2 mintues and that didn't work either. Parameter is 3 value 3. If I turn off alarm relay then turn back on the light goes out.

You are almost there. It is because the remotec has a strange sequence to how it turns on and off. Could you show your rule so we can determine what to do to get the remotec to send the correct signals to your lights. So when alarm goes on lights go on and when alarm goes off lights go off.

You also might try to set this parameter on the remotec device page and see if that works.

You will want to remove the remotec from "switch to disable simple lighting rule". Then on the second picture where there is "turn lights off when turned off" there is the part that says "After this number of minutes" that is where you would put a 2 if you don't already have it there.

FINALLY SUCCESS! Thank you Razorwing and Ryan780. I can't wait for a burglar now to break into my house. Ha!
