As suspected I am an idiot!
I've just picked it up again and realised I have it worked wrong. Re-wired, repaired and hey presto! Happy days!

No problem, we all learn by our mistakes (or those of others when we aren't being an idiot).
Happy to know that it works!
And whilst I'm here I can confirm that adding another sensor, restarting and then changing the setting of the driver does not add a new working sensor. You need to unpair and re-pair as suggested! I know have two temp sensor operational! Result!!!!

Has anyone had to calibrate the external temp probe? I have an external DSB1820 connected and it updates and changes temp. However, it's snowing outside and the tempo is reporting as 8C, any ideas?
I should add that I have two external probes on this device, one is inside the hot tub and reporting 38.8 (correct) and the external one appears to be out by approx 8C.
