Dumb question before I frustrate myself. Are you using the device drivers linked in this app's first post, or the official ones provided by Zooz?
EDIT: Sorry, that question was dumb. Those drivers are for the virtual device and app. I'm going to load Zooz's drivers and try them as opposed to the built-in ones Hubitat provides in the C8 Pro
This.. I bought the mercury switches, procrastinated and bought the newer Ecolink z-wave plus. That tilt sensor uses an accelerometer and has been issue free for over a year. I did eventually modify the original pair of ball bearings tilt sensors with the mercury switches and hopefully they are forever in standby. If someone would like to try their hand at tiny soldering I believe those mercury glass bulbs were in a five or ten pack. I'll part with them for postage.
Confirmed an exclude-reinclude is necessary to get the child devices recreated, which of course it is. I should have thought that through better. But I got my firmware upgraded, and the new driver loaded. I just need to move the cars so I can get to the ceiling and futz with the inclusion now. Appreciate the help!
I have the same setup as you. I have the hardware working and it works in Hubitat using Zooz Door Opener. However, I am unable to get it to work when I link Hubitat to Google Home. Google Home shows the devices, but they don't work. Ideally, I would like to have it require a password for opening.
You need to share the virtual "Garage Door" device that the app creates to Google home. Do not share the relay or contact sensor by itself. Assuming they have support for Garage Doors in the integration. I know it works for Alexa and Apple Home. They also both require some sort of authorization before you can open a garage door.
I used ZEN51 (dry contact relay) to control my GDO configured for a pulsed output. I then use a generic Zigbee contact sensor for the door closed state. I put electronics to the side of door and the magnet on the rolling door such that they are aligned when closed.
I did have some errant reporting of door open when it wasn't. I changed (increased) the garage door opening duration from 15 to 22 seconds and those errors went away. I guess between my door cycle being close to 15 seconds and the zigbee inbound message delay things could stretch beyond the default 15 seconds.
I don't recall running into 2 options when I installed it via HPM many moons ago, but FWIW, I have the "Package" version installed (according to my HPM manifest).
Looks like one installs it as a bundle and the other directly. Should both give the same result. The dev is not active anymore so it won’t get any further updates, in fact I think someone else put it in HPM just for convenience.
