If you've got a BLLED LED controller lighting your Bambu Lab printer, this driver brings it into Hubitat. It needs ReBLLED, my alternative firmware for the BLLED board, which adds the API the driver talks to. The original BLLED firmware doesn't have one.
What you get
- Live status, pushed from the controller every second over a local web socket. No cloud, no polling, and no login needed just to read status.
- What the strip is showing and why, in words: Printing, Preparing: cleaning the nozzle, Print finished, Off: following the printer's light.
- Printer status (idle / preparing / printing / paused / finished / failed), door, chamber light, and an
attentionattribute for things like a filament runout, nozzle clog or HMS error. lastPrintFinished, which fires once when a print finishes. Handy for "your print is done" announcements.- On/off, brightness and mode (follow the printer / always on / off). These use the controller's WebUI login if you've set one.
- Events only when something actually changes, so a quiet printer makes no events at all.
Install
HPM: search for ReBLLED. Or manually: Drivers Code → New Driver → Import:
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/brossow/hubitat-drivers/main/reblled/reblled-controller.groovy
Then Devices → Add device → Virtual, pick ReBLLED LED Controller, and enter the controller's IP address in Preferences. Status shows up within a second or two. Add the WebUI user name and password only if you want control and have a login set on the controller.
Automation ideas
- Trigger on
lastPrintFinishedchanged → speak or notify "Print finished." - Trigger on
attentionchanged, withattentionnotnone→ send%value%. - Turn it off at bedtime and on in the morning (on returns to following the printer).
It talks only to the controller on your network, never the printer or the cloud. For temperatures, AMS and progress, run a printer driver alongside it.
