[RELEASE] HD+ - Android Dashboard

Anybody know how I can get the number 1 button back on the button controller where I put the light bulb?

Edit device -> manage buttons -> select the button to the right of the text for button #1 (area circled below.. not sure why the icon isn't showing must be a bug)

Anyway, in the image selector, select image source drop-down -> Enter URL... -> CLEAR button and then OK to save

Thanks, got it

I thought that was by design, that to me indicates that an image has been selected.

@jpage4500 or anyone else that may know. I have been using my old C7 thru hub mesh and have only a few zigbee devices on it. All other devices and apps are on a C8. Thinking of moving Amazon Echo, Google Home and HD+ dashboard over to the C7. I have HD+ backup file saved to the C8. Will I be able to use the backup to set up the dashboard on the C7?. Appreciate any advise from anyone on doing this.

version 1.0.2399 (beta)

  • add Discover Hub dialog to update Hub IP/app ID/access token/cloud token
  • TV device fixes for power/mute
  • support separate off state for TV device
  • long-press on custom icon/background/sound setting to reset to default
  • long press manage button image to clear image

Lots of changes in this one including:

  • if you have a custom image/sound/color set for a device, you can now reset it back to the default by long-pressing on the setting (see image below for which settings support this)

  • the same thing also works in the manage button dialog.. long-press on the image icon to reset to default

  • The TV device type can now be customized for both ON and OFF states

image

  • I also fixed some other issues with the TV device type.. the wide layout is fairly complex so let me know if it doesn't look good and I'll revisit it.

  • There's a new feature in Hubitat Hub -> Hub Details setting called "Discover Hub". This can be used to automatically update one of the following values that might have changed:

    • IP address, App ID, Access Token, Cloud Token

side-note -- I still have some TODO items on my list mentioned in the posts above.. just want to get changes out in managable chunks when possible.

First off, I cannot get over how incredible @jpage4500 is at delivering all of our endless tweaks and requests!!

Secondly, I'm curious if there is a method to configure these dashboards via computer/mouse/keyboard interface versus just on phone.. I'm always amazed at the depth and detail being built out and it makes me twitch to think of doing it all with my finger on this little screen haha

version 1.0.2405 (beta)

  • fix button device type - send commands to correct button number
  • allow folder back button to change size
  • allow life360 and owntracks device types to set different colors for present/away states
  • allow each button in button view to be focused (possible Android TV focus fix)

This should be fixed now

This one lets you set the text and background color for OwnTracks or Life360 device types.

It also lets you change the size of the Back button used in folders.

I haven't tested the Android TV fix yet so if anyone gets a chance to test it before me please let me know.

Sorry, not working for me.

@jpage4500 When in local mode, does HD+ use the https endpoint for the maker API?

Thanks @jpage4500!

It doesn't -- I remember having issues on older Android devices connecting to a self-signed server via https which is why it's http only (for local traffic -- cloud mode is always https)

However, I did test using https on my phone and it worked just fine so I'll add an option in the next release to toggle https for local traffic

Your colorized Owntracks Text area - PERFECT! Not sure how you do it, but thank you!

version 1.0.2410 (beta)

  • allow TV remote to navigate button
  • add 'use https' option to Hub Details dialog

I tested it this time  - You still have to click on the button to open the dialog but then you can navigate buttons. I support both 'push' and 'hold' actions but not 'doubleTap' at the moment.

I added an "https" option to Menu -> Hubitat Hub -> Hub Details dialog. You will have to restart the app for the change to take effect though. I didn't notice any problems on my Pixel phone but some older (probably really old) devices might have issues using https to a self-signed Hubitat. But, if enough people are able to test this and verify it works I can just change to use https by default and remove the option.

-- side-note - http is only used for local network calls.. cloud mode is always https

It appears to be working for me.

No problems here with my Pixel phone or emulated phone on Android Studio via my PC.

That's how I expected it would work, and it's working great. Thank you very much for this!

I apologize if this has been asked before. I searched but didn't seem to find it in this thread or the docs/official page. I recently swapped out my Ring Pro 2 doorbell (which is for sale if anyone wants it) for a Reolink. The Reolink supports RTSP and I know I can integrate it into the dashboard. What I'm curious on is if I can have it automatically called to open the streaming, then wait ~60 seconds and automatically close it. Is this possible? I can have a virtual switch trigger when the doorbell button is pressed, but is there a way that when this switch is turned on, start the RTSP stream? And stop the stream when the switch turns off? (Just realized I can create my own delay with rules.)

Hey Folks, after reading, and reading some more, I think I am ready to make the switch to this HD+ Android Dashboard from the built in HE Dashboards. This is just so feature rich! One thing is holding me back, which I couldn't find the answer for, and that is viewing and setup on a PC. I find the phones and tablets pretty small for my eyesight so I use my Windows PC for mostly everything for setup, most times remotely from work. Then I just pick up the dashboard on my tablet from Fully Kiosk. Are these dashboards accessible on a PC? Or are they setup / stored per specific device?

This is amazing app. I installed WSA (Windows Subsystem for Android) on my Windows 11 PC and it works perfectly.
