[Release] Garage Door Opener App - LGK Virtual Garage Door

because that is not a light. a switch is different than a light.. i will have to lookup how to allow you to select switches as well but still dont think that will find a relay module.. unless you install a switch driver.

Thanks! Webcor and RM does see it as a switchable item. If not I can setup V-Switch RM to the relay if need but I cannot see the V-switches either.

try new version .. change device type to switch instead of light

Options looks good. Issue that door reports closed before if even moves. As soon as you press closed door is showing closed. Then the lights flash and then the door starts moving.
However, I'm digging it!! Thanks!!

It is working great. Only thing I have noticed is when you hit closed from the dashboard, it immediately turns to closed. Long before the door starts moving. Or the tilt sensor is reporting closed. This is great. I know others will appreciate when they move away from MyQ app. Thanks again.

Thank you for this. A way out of MyQ jail. I was looking for a way to combine a tilt sensor and a Zen16 relay contact into a Garage control dashboard tile and this is it.

The other good option is a Fibaro Smart Implant + a wired door sensor. I use an electro-mechanical switch as I found contact sensors to be inconsistent due to garage doors not always stopping in a precise location.

Eg

I'm using the newer version Ecolink Solid State Accelerometer tilt sensor (just replaced the roller ball version) and Zen16 relay contacts soldered to the switch contacts on a wireless GDO remote. I could open/close the GD from the Zen16 but I was looking for a solution that would integrate the tilt sensor and the relay contacts into a single dashboard Garage Control tile that displayed door status and the ability to activate the door.

The nice thing about @kahn-hubitat solution is you have choice with what combination of hardware you use, it then ties it all nicely together into a virtual garage door device which you can then expose to dashboards, HomeKit etc.
