I figured this one out. I copied an existing rule and changed the Select custom command to triggermotion instead of what it was before. When I did that it must not have completely deleted the previous parameter type (even though I did and it was blank) when I changed it to triggermotion. I recreated the rule from scratch as above and it works fine.
Hi all
This is driving me crazy. Can't seem to adjust the volume when "speak" (webcore). Any pointers? Seems like I'm missing something. TiA
On my dashboards, I have a 'Home' panel and a few more for other rooms, outdoor, irrigation etc. Currently if an user navigates, lets say to the irrigation panel, and walks away, the dashboard panel on the tablet stays on the Irrigation screen unless the link to the 'Home' dashboard is clicked. What I would like to do in that scenario, is after X minutes of inactivity on any dashboard that is not the 'Home' dashboard, have the tablet display the 'Home' panel again.
I'm using Fully Kiosk (with plus license), but not using FK Browser Controller app.
- Can this app do the above mentioned?
- if not, is there another way to achieve it?
Thank you.
This is a feature in FKB itself. There is a whole bunch of settings under "Web Auto Reload" that should help you do what you want.
Thank-you for this device. Just starting to play with it. One question I have is after I configure the device it reports back "checkinterval: 60" what does this mean and is there any way to change this parameter? Thanks.
Just ignore it. Nothing special. Just used to trigger an update to the activity if that is being used for device active monitoring.
Hi Gavin,
Thanks for the driver! Wondering if you could clarify something for me please?
I can set the toneaudiofileurl option in hubitat's device page. Using webcore 'beep' plays that file correctly.
What would be massively handy would be if there was a way to define the file via webcore, thereby allowing simple scripts to play any file. Am I missing something? At the moment it appears that I could kind of choose from say, 2 files. Then either 'beep' or 'siren' to choose between the 2.
Webcore has a playsound option. But I don't understand how to apply this case.
If I put the url in here, and click playsound:
... it works.
Can't see a way of sort of setting this in webcore. Could you assist please? Sound number....?
The playsound command in webcore is mapped to the chime capability where a device would have a bunch of built in sounds that are referenced by number. So it will not work in webcore.
The playsound in this driver is a custom command where you can specify the file to play.
I haven't touched webcore in years but if you can execute a custom command and it lists playsound try that and you may be able to do what you want. But I can't say for sure.
Thanks man, I had a play and it looks like a no go. Not the end of the world, to be honest I could probably just try to run multiple instances, with different chimes saved to each. I presume that'll work. =)
Thanks for this great controller.
Please any idea if there's a disable/enable screensaver in the API? In my use case, my screensaver comes on 15s after there's no motion (detected by the Fire Tablet camera). I currently use this to launch spotify when I start playing music on my audio receiver. I can configure it to stop screensaver before launching spotify. However, 15 seconds after launching, the screensaver shows up again. I'd like to disable the screensaver and then launch spotify, and re-enable the screensaver once I stop playing music.
Thanks
Recently discovered the driver and it's awesome. Big thanks to the developer.
Using it at the moment with a Fire tablet and an Android 10 tablet. I really don't like the Fire's so much, most recently since I discovered it will respond to "screen on" with a trip to the Lock Screen, whereas the Android just takes me back to my dashboard.
Noticed the earlier comments re playing sound files (beeps and chimes), initially confused since I came over from LANnouncer and was used to built in sounds.
I really would prefer to host these sounds on the hub versus adding them individually to each tablet, we'll see if that works,
To someone who previously mentioned Daydream, yes it does work, unless disabled in Fully settings. In fact I never got a Plus license for Fully on the Android previously because Daydream did all I needed. But now I'm doing so much more with both the Fire and Android tablets the license fee was very worth it.
So once again, thanks for all your good work which allows tinkerers like me to do awesome things!
Wow I just found this drivers. Waiting for ActionTiles and then I will be all over this!
Same here. I have one, but all the restrictions (even with rooting) is just a pain. I wanted something I could lock down but its just a pain. Been keeping an eye out for something else but there is so much out there.
You should be able to do this. In settings on the hub, upload your files via the file manager and then copy the url to them. You should be able to use that with FKB to play the sounds. May be a delay as it has to download and play it but should be tolerable.
For my screensaver I use the free version of dakboard and have it scroll through a photo gallery with some overlays. It works nicely.
Yep, I played with the file manager in my C-7 and was able to store both my dashboard background picture and the sounds there. Works great with no discernible delay (still quicker than my echo speaks devices!).
I also use Dakboard but on the Android tablet I invoked it from the Daydream functionality. But now I have the Plus license I've switched it all to Fully.
Please add to Hubitat Package Manager
Yesterday I finally got around to updating to the latest version of FKBC so I can access some of the latest goodies. However....
As long as Fully is open, my Fire tablet won't stop beeping. I updated a different Fire tablet to the latest FKBC as well, and the same thing happened -- it's beeping incessantly. If I click "Stop Sound" from device details, it will briefly stop, but then resume. Mute seems to have no effect. Reducing siren volume doesn't do the trick. Removing URLs from the Tone and Siren fields doesn't help either. If I reduce the Fire's volume from the master tablet control, the alarm volume will mute, but will then reset to max one beat later. It's as if the Fire tablet is caught in an Alarm state that I can't cancel or reset.
Maddening--I can't figure it out. The only thing that stops the loud beeping is to close Fully. Kinda defeats the purpose of using FKBC. Again, this only starts happening once I update FKBC to the latest version. Any ideas?
Hmm. I just updated yesterday to get the restart fully command. Worked great. Have you updated the version of fully the tablet uses? I'm on a firehd10 and recently updated fully to the latest version for fire. Version is v1.42.4-fire.
Does Fully have different version numbering by size of tablet? I have a Fire 8", and Fully says it's updated to the most recent release, but it's shows as 1.37.
Also, it's odd that Fully doesn't appear to exist in the appstore. The only way I see to update Fully is through the Fully interface itself. That sound right?
They are a bit different on Fires, because there is a fire specific version. Uninstall it and install the latest at the below link.
Hi, I am trying to turn my fully kiosk touch screens on and off through the rule machine. Have never used rule machine before and I am unable to figure it out based on this? Can I get some more pointers. Thanks.
