I got word from Camect that evryone needs to sign up for their cloud service or lose several functions currently available. The key items lost include "The two main features that need to cloud to work are the ability to view when you are connected from somewhere other than the local network, and being able to receive alerts anywhere other than by viewing in the local UI (i.e. in the app or via email or telegram). "
Do you know if the Camect Connect app will continue to work? I'd prefer to pay Camect $100 a year, but if I have to ....

If they gate API access behind a subscription, then it won’t work. I don’t believe API is controlled by a subscription. I pay for the cameras I use because it’s saving me so much time rolling my own solution.
