Finally received some FP300's to play with.
I replaced one set of Motion/Humidity last night and it seems to always go off even with Low/pir and distance set but I think it might be really sensitive to the heating vent in the ceiling even on low. Testing continues.
The real reason for the post is I have one that I have paired a few times and I can't get the settings to take. No errors in the logs that I see.
I can't set motion sensitivity or mm/pir to just pir. I'm sure more settings aren't working either.
I see detection range didn't set either.
Before clicking SAVE on the settings page, are you waking up the FP300 sensor by pressing the physical button on it? The sensor pretty much ignores Zigbee configuration commands unless it is woken up manually first.
Ah. I did pair it again just now and it's working so it must be awake.
I did see this note and tried it.
I must have not Clicked and then Saved in 2 steps as it says "at the same time" so I left no delay inbetween.
Pair the P1 and FP1/FP1E devices two times (without deleting), very close to the HE hub. For the battery-powered sensors, press shortly the pairing button on the device at the same time when clicking on Save Preferences

100% that heating currents will affect the sensor. I had the same issue with ceiling fans. I was able to fix that by running spatial learning with the ceiling fans on and the room empty. Not positive it would be as effective with a heat source, but worth a try.
Ever since replacing the batteries in my FP300 (paired direct to C8P), my sensor is failing at sensing motion when someone walks into the room.
I’ve re run the spatial learning, tried turning on/off various settings and it’s still randomly just not detecting ppl walking into a room.
I have it in a corner facing into the house covering a kitchen and dining room. The PIR sensor notch is at the 12 o’clock position as shown in all the photos.
I purchased 2 FP300's. I followed instructions to change the protocol to Zigbee. Then added device to my C8 Hub. However, why does it show up in my device list with red icon?
Thanks, I was confused as at first it was red with cross marks through it which I thought meant it was not connected properly. Then I re-added it. I should have known...Thanks!
New Question - why don't I see the FP300's on my "presence" list in mode manager? I am hoping to adjust my away/home mode with the addition of the FP300's.
Not directly. You could create a workaround, by adding a virtual presence sensor for each FP300. Then use a Rule Machine rule to synchronize the motion attribute of FP300 to the presence attribute of the virtual presence sensor.
