Is it possible to create a read only dashboard? I have at least on situation were information only would be appropriate.
If not could it be?

Check out the layout settings for the child dashboard. There is a read only option that locks out editing of a dashboard.

I found the setting you mentioned. I think I wasn't clear enough in my initial request.
I was looking for a setting / capability that would not allow the user to control the devices shown.
For example: If had my front entrance light as a tile, the user could see that it was on or off but could not change the state of the light.
Why you might ask? There are folks who do not want to be left out of the ability to see the dashboard but haven't learned to fully understand the effects of making changes. Put another way, I don't want the control being "played" with.
For that just use attribute tiles for switch and others. It will only display the text but will update but not be controllable.
