The Ring mailbox motion sensor will work fine without the antenna. I have it working on this integration currently. Not sure if it'll work directly to the Hubitat hubs.
Yes, if you've connected it to your ring lighting bridge, this integration should pick it up as a motion sensor. See this post.

Do you know what 'kind' is reported? If not could you turn on logging and run discovery and report back? Knowing what kind makes it easy to add.

So, perhaps I should elaborate. I had one of the original Ring Doorbell 2nd Generation that I purchased back in 2017. It had been working fine with the Hubitat ring app for over a year and was discovered with no problems along with the original chime. I upgraded the other day to the new Battery Doorbell Plus that just came out and removed the old original doorbell from my ring account. So, now the only thing that is still showing up in the hubitat ring app is the original chime. The new Battery Doorbell Plus is not being discovered.

hi it has been a while since I updated Ring Integration because I had problem with it. I have tried that recently and my problem remains pretty much the same. Can someone give me some advice please?
The problem I have is tatt I can no longer change Set Mode in Virtual Alarm Hub to Home/Armed/Disarmed. My motion sensor is picking up motion but my door sensor is not being reported back to Hubitat

I'm missing something obvious. I have added the Ring doorbell chime to my Ring account. I have the Chime driver installed through HPM. However, in the Unofficial Ring Integration app, discover devices only shows my Ring doorbell as it has since the beginning. I can't get it to discover the chime.
What is the obvious thing I am missing here?

A few things;
- Make sure your account that you are using for this integration has access to the Chime device. A lot of us forget to do that when buying a new device.
- Check your logs and see if it's finding an unrecognized device. You might have a new version we need to add support for.

Thanks . just had a look. I think it is a different issue. I was able to to change Mode in Virtual Alarm Hub before the update. I too noticed in the past that doing it in Ring API Virtual Device does not work. Beside , all my RM rules have a Ring device no longer work since the update,
Is that something to do with IFTTT? as I didn't need it in the past ...
Looks like this is included in the beta version. In the short term go to the App code and open the app "Unofficial Ring Connect"
Then scroll to the bottom of that file to line 1714 an add the following
"chime_v3": [name: "Ring Chime V3", driver: "Ring Virtual Chime"],
That should do it!

my problem is that I can't even manually change mode in Ring Virtual Alarm and so I can't turn the alarm on.
I have a rule to turn it on when we are away.
Easy peasy. Did that. Added the device. Thank you! Now trying to play different sound files for Rules.
I tried to have it speak a text message. There was an error. Don't know if it actually supported anyway, though it would be great to have.

Oh weird. Sounds like a broader issue, no idea why you can't even do that manually. No errors in the logs? Perhaps re-signin to Ring in this integration?
Through the chime? I've never tried that, not sure it's supported TBH.
It was an option on the device page, so I couldn't resist trying! 
I have uploaded other doorbell sounds to Hubitat. Pasting the URL into the URI field doesn't play the sound. Any ideas?
