Raspberry Pi Zero - cant get HDMI display to stay up

I got a raspberry pi, made an image w PI Imager (with RaspPi OS -first choice) and it worked.
I also configured wifi at the time.
Now I can't get the HDMI screen to stay active...I've redone the image multiple times.
The first boot after a new image says on hdmi display
resizing
ssh something
rebooting
then when it comes up I see the cursor, the blank and it just loops doing that.

I check if the pi was on my router and its not.

Is this defective ? Any suggestions? Trying to setup cookie server for echo speak...thx

This probably belongs on a Raspberry Pi forum. I suggest not configuring wifi with the imager - never worked well enough for me. Create the image - make sure you pick an image that matches your pi - you didn't mention which one you have. That's critical.

With the proper image burned without wifi data, boot up your pi with the imaged sd card. Once the OS starts it will ask for the wifi info.

Make sure your power supply for the RPi is up to the task as well.

Maybe try a different microSD memory card?

Just a few ideas to try...

the display stayed active now but the pi is just not working right....when I try and install the echo speak code ...it fails ...when I look its lost the network... I reboot and the network is there for a few minutes but shortly I get Network is unreachable.
I send a note to Amazon seller, hopefully they will replace.
