Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W In stock! (and now OOS)

Get em while they last!

And... they're gone.

Too late.. they’re gone! It was fun watching the number in stock go down to zero

This was the first time RPiLocator came through for me. In the spirit of automation, I have Node Red pulling down their RSS every minute and sending a high priority pushover if it gets a hit. Been set up for 6 months now... first success.

FYI, ignore Sparkfun stock notices.

My son messaged me when he saw they were in stock (in rpilocator), so I went to Adafruit to buy one. I got all the way to checkout when it told me I needed to have 2FA enabled in order to buy a high demand item. In the minute it took me to set up 2FA and log out and back in, they were OOS. :frowning:

At least I'm all set in case they ever come back in stock at Adafruit again.

Yeah, that's one thing the rpilocator twitter account advises to get set up (2FA) prior to Wednesday.

Wednesday and sometimes Thursday is when adafruit usually gets their stock in.

Yeah, that had me on a mad scramble during checkout. Luckily, I was able to checkout with my cart still intact.

RPilocater has done me well. So far this year I scored three RP4's one 8 GB, one 4 GB, and one 2 GB. Also I was able to get the high school to join the education program and this semester they received 4 units which is better than nothing. Adafrut here in the US stock seems to show up Tuesday, Wednesday and Thrusday in the morning so I keep the Pi locator site running on those days with the alert turned on. Don't forget to "tip" the guy that runs the service if you score one.

Yeah, I've only been in the market for the PZeroW2 so I have my alerts filtered. Good to know that I could score a Pi4 a little easier.

The Raspberry Pi 3 A+ is in stock at Adafruit, $25:

Personally, I'm still looking for a Pi Zero 2 W. It's slightly slower (1GHz vs. 1.4GHZ), but has the same amount of memory and it uses less power than this one.

While I typed this, stock went from 75 to 52.
