I have two Withings Sleep Pads.
Currently they are used as not very cheap Bed Presence sensors in few automations.
Presence reporting delay is about 10-15 seconds. For all current automations this
could be considered as a real time presence reporting.
What I noticed - pads are reporting gazillions of other sleep related parameters but
only once per day at a wakeup time.
My question is - Is it possible to get say, snoringEpisodCount parameter in real time?
Since I already automated my Smart Beds I can shake a bed for a few seconds when
snoring event is detected. But it must be next to real time detection similar as for
presence detection.
No this is not possible with their API. I wish it was along with being able to grab real time sleep state. But itβs not.
(I am now maintaining the Withings app/driver, so I am familiar with their API)

Thank for making this very clear.
Who knows, maybe one day all sleeping parameters will be available real time.
At least bed presence reporting is near real time.
I read somewhere (I can't find the source now) the mat was designed to only transmit briefly during in-bed/out-of-bed events to limit users' exposure to EMF radiation. This user would love to have real time data so I could trigger actions when my wife smothers me with a pillow.
