i have this nas for sale on ebay. qnap ts-673 with 6 8tb iron wolf pro drives upgraded memory and ssds.
i will sell it to someone here at a better deal say 1k plus shipping.
works fine. just got a newer nas with bigger hard drives and needed to pull the data off of the old one before resetting it..
here is the link
Curious what you moved too? I have 6 18tb drives in mine. Love that NAS. I added a SFP+ 10g card in mine and have it connected to 10g fiber on my network.
had a 10g card.. took it out and put in the new ts-664 ... it was mostly due to needed the old one intact to copy the data to the new one which was required to install quts with newer zraid file system.. it builds rebuilds in 10 minutes instead of 20 hours. i also change the raid to raid 50 now.
would love a tvs664 or tvs864 but too damn pricy..
what speeds to you get net wise? best i can do with 10gb card is 5 gig or so with iperf3 8 sockets.

i remember last time with qts i upgraded drive by drive to larger drives it was dog â– â– â– â– slow and very painfull.. thus why i left the old one intact and just got a new nas with larger drives. it would have taken days.. within an day and a half i had new nas setup and ll current 20+ tb of data copied over.
Nice… I def love having the available space. My last 4 bay ran out.
I know I’m not getting 10g in my file transfer but my minipc I’m using is limited to 2.5gb eth.
