Q: Sharing a Virtual Image to HomeKit

I have several virtual image devices that I enabled to be shared via the HomeKit integration. That control, "HomeKit Enabled" is on the "Device Info" tab and turned on. However, I do not see it in the Home app (Mac OS or iOS). They don't show up under "incompatible devices" in the HomeKit integration app but neither do they show up anywhere else in the app. They are simply not shown anywhere.

What am I missing? I assumed that, because there was an explicit control to enable HomeKit integration, I should see it, but I don't.

What is a "virtual image device"?

That option is shown on every device I believe, it does not mean it is compatible. Since its not listed in the integration at all, its not going to work.
