Q: Is Abode Security a decent buy with HE?

Hello experts.

getting a new house built, and have pretty much settled on getting HE. Am also looking for a security system to go with that and considering Abode.

Any guidance if that is fine or if I'm stepping into a minefield... I have read that the Abode Cam 2 cameras are notorious for freezing up periodically. Not sure if I should invest in just the Abode security without any cameras and purchase those separately (e.g., Arlo?).

I can’t speak to Abode, but have been using and been extremely happy with Ring Alarm. I find their pricing to be excellent and their support to be really great.

They have monitoring and cellular backup.

There is currently an unofficial integration with Hubitat, but like anything community built, there is always a risk that it will eventually stop working.
