PVC Water Shutoff Valve Recommendations

Here is a Motorized Ball Valve that's 110v that you could hook to a z-wave smart plug and make it smart. You could use pvc threaded adapters to put inline with your pvc pipe application.

These should solve that particular issue and allow you to use a motorized brass ball valve.

I have a leaksmart for ¾" pipes that I bought without realizing I needed 1". NIB. It's available for a good price to anyone who can use it. PM me if interested.

One solution is sharkbite connectors. I have used them to connect PVC to copper, copper to copper, and just about anything else. I have NEVER had one leak. They also can be removed and reattached, These things are the greatest invention known to man. I could never sweat copper and with these there is no need. I have used them in hot and cold water applications and again NEVER a leak. You just cut the pipe, clean it up and push it on.

Just be aware that the PVC to copper Sharkbite connectors are different than copper to copper. The ones you referenced are the latter. The ones I referenced (https://www.homedepot.com/p/SharkBite-3-4-in-Push-to-Connect-PVC-IPS-x3-4-in-MIP-Brass-Adapter-Fitting-UIP134A/206353553) in my earlier post are the PVC to copper. The difference is easy to spot if you look at the color of the plastic lock collar; white is for PVC, tan is for copper.
