Maybe I missed something obvious but I have created a dashboard (legacy) with a pin to protect certain devices but since everything just shows up on the device tab the pin protected dashboard does no good. Is there a way to fix this? I'd like other users to be able to use the app for push notifications.
The mobile app’s not a good solution for granting limited device access to another user, as you’ve discovered.
You can give users access to the pin-protected dashboard by sharing a direct link to the dashboard with them.
They can even bookmark the link to their phone’s Home Screen so that they could access the dashboard with a single tap, like opening any other app on their phone (they’d still have to enter the dashboard PIN code though when the page loads).
There are other solutions for mobile presence sensing, too. But if a user has the Hubitat mobile app installed, for presence or any of its features, there’s no way to restrict access to other parts of the hub interface.
There is no way to select what does or does not appear on the apps device tab. That would be a great feature to add.
Thank you for the replies. I will go another route.
