Protect your dashboards and Hubitat® Safety Monitor with pin codes

Continuing the rollout of most popular features requested by users since the introduction of the Easy Dashboards, the latest update adds PIN protection to every Easy Dashboard as well as for changing HSM modes.

To enable a PIN for a dashboard, go to Dashboards page on the left menu, and open the Settings for the dashboard you'd like to protect, then add a 4-digts code next to the name and select Update Dashboard.

To enable a PIN code for HSM, add a 4-digts code next to the HSM toggle:

The latest update also introduces a new calendar tile available in the dashboard's Settings next to the Clock toggle, as well as custom background colors and icons for individual tiles.

I made a copy of an old dashboard and it added the password automatically. Is this intended? What's the default password?

This may be slightly off topic, so forgive me if it is. With the old Dashboard you could assign dashboards to users, however, with the new Dashboard I can't find anywhere that I can do this, nor have I found anything here in the community about it either. I'm just curious if I'm totally blind and missing it, or if this is something that is on the roadmap and just hasn't been implemented yet. I love the new Dashboard system btw. Keep on keeping on building!! Cheers!!

I have the same problem. After copying an old dashboard, the new one asks for a pin. I'm unable to remove that pin and I don't know what it is.

I was able to reproduce this issue. If you'd like a work around while our engineers are investigating, open the copy in edit mode from the Dasboard main page, add a PIN in the upper right corner, save, then remove the PIN and save again.

@bobbyD Unfortunately I can't find the PIN box for the HSM tile. See screen capture below.

Platform version: 2.3.9.150
Hardware version: C-8

The latest update that introduced the PIN is 2.3.9.153.

I'm hitting the same thing. Can't figure out why my old dashboard copy to new EZ version has a pin.

How do you do this?

Edit: Latest update fixes this for me. Did a copy and now no pin is auto-created.
Thank you

I know you can't work on everything at once and a new dashboard application is a monumental undertaking. But one thing that is really a showstopper (for me at least) is the ability to restrict an easy dashboard from being accessible to the cloud.

Adding PIN codes is a really great feature, but one of the reasons I like Hubitat is local control. sure there may be a few devices I'd like to expose to the cloud. but 99% I want locked down.

would it be possible to work on this in the near future?

I agree, being able to control cloud access for the Easy Dashboards is a must. I can't use it until then.
