Problems with Zigbee after cloud migration C5 to C7

Latest versions on hubs. Everything worked perfect on C5. Migration went flawless. No Zigbee devices appear to be checking in. All 27 Zigbee devices affected. I have tried rebooting. Also restored again same results. I have tried changing Zigbee channel. No luck… has anybody else had this issue?

Did you use a local backup or a cloud migration backup to migrate?
Do you have any Z-Wave devices? Are those working?

I used cloud backup from the C5 to C7. There are no ZWave devices on that hub but I had to enable ZWave on the C5 prior to doing the backup of the C5 so that I could use the cloud migration.

What kind of Zigbee devices do you have?

Take one Zigbee device and reset it, and pair it again to the new hub. See if that will get it to work.

I just did that on one of the sengled bulbs and it’s now working. I sure hate to have to re-pair all of the devices as some are hardwired recessed lighting. It a variety of devices

When you did the restore it should have asked you if you wanted to restore the Zigbee and Z-Wave radios. Are you 100% sure you marked Zigbee to restore?

Yes 100% sure

I have added back all of the devices manually. It was a pain but they are working now....

You can’t migrate zigbee to a C-7 the same way you can’t migrate to another C-5. It has to be a C-8 or later. The Zigbee 3.0 chip is the necessary ingredient. The only difference between the C-5 and the C-7 is the Z-Wave chip. Everything else is exactly the same, including zigbee.

Bingo!

From the migration support docs:

Migrating Zigbee to a new hub is supported only on model C-8 or C-8 Pro; Zigbee can be migrated from any hub model C-7 or C-5 (if using internal radios).
