Hello everyone,
First of all, thank you very much for the time. In this forum you are always ready to help. I do not know if this request for help goes well in this part of the forum.
I have several "Ikea TRADFRI Control Outlet" that I use to turn on lamps and a surveillance camera inside the house (in the living room). I have "Amazon Echo App" and "Amazon Echo Skill" installed and when I give the command to Alexa to turn on that camera or that lamp, everything works fine. If I say "Alexa turns off all the lights" it turns off the ikea devices that are configured as lights but leaves on those that are configured as plugs ...
The problem comes now, I have other "Ikea Tradfi control outlet" that turns a camera on and off on a terrace and is configured as a plug in the app. When I give the command to Alexa to turn off all the lights or turn off the terrace lights, the camera plug also turns off. I have the same problem with another "Ikea tradfi" in other room that is also configured as a plug and also turns off with the lights command ...
I have tried removing and replacing these devices from "Amazon Echo App" and "Amazon Echo Skill" but they still respond to light commands and not plug.
Anyone know what might be happening?
Thank you again a thousand times and I am sorry if this is not the place to ask and because of my bad English.
In the Alexa Mobile app, find your device , click on the Cog Wheel in the upper right corner, and scroll down to Type - if it says Light change it to Switch
Thank you very much for your quick reply. That's the first thing I looked at and it's set to "swich".
Something that seemed very strange to me is that I have changed with another device "Ikea tradfri" that worked perfectly with the Alexa commands, I have changed names on both devices and the so-called "terrace camera" continues to give problems, being a device that elsewhere it was going well. And the one that caused problems now no longer turns off when I give the command to turn off the lights ...
I'm going crazy
One thing you could try is removing the plug from the terrace room/group. Had a set of smart speakers that would come on (full volume) if the wife asked to have the living room lights turn on, once I removed them from the group I no longer had an issue and the WAF went up.
