Problems with my Osram Smart+ Outdoor switch

My two Osram Smart+ outdoor switches were paired to my HE C7 without any problems but they do not function that well. Sometimes they are switched on or off as intended by my automation or my comands on my dashboard. But mostly they do not...

Is it just me who has problems with those or are they like this for all of you guys?

And is there anything I can do about it?

Thanks in advance!

At first look it sounds like you need zigbee repeaters between the hub and the outdoor switch. You could grab a smart+ outlet or a moe's zigbee 3.0 outlet with 2 usb ports or pretty much any zigbee outlet. Innr is a brand many around here use. Or an Iris 3210L outlet, hard to find but have a very strong zigbee signal.

I hoped that it was repeaters I needed to but I have other Zigbee devices like the INNR plug fairly in the middle between my Hubitat and the Osram outlets and that doesnt help.
The Osram outlets are so close to the Hubitat hub that repeaters shouldnt be necesery anyway.

I have similar issues with my five Smart+ Outdoor Plugs. The two closest to the hub (outside wall, approx 2 meters away) works fine, both through set rules and manually through dashboard. The next two are inside the carport which is approx 15-20 meters from the house. These two seem to work through set rules, but won't act via dashboard (keeps saying "Sending"). Funnily enough I can control both if I open them through Devices and push On or Off.
Last one is on the opposite outside wall of the carport (approx 15 meters away), this one workes in the beginning, then just flat out stopped. I have removed it and re-added it a couple of times without any real success.
I have tried changing channels for the Zigbee network back and forth, turning the network off for an hour to try and see if the mesh would optimize, but no luck.
Next step will be adding Zigbee bulbs for the porch lights to see if this helps with repeatability.

Just out of curiousity, how far away is close to you Martin?

Aproximetly 5 meters and 7 meters away with a relatively thin outdoor wall between them and the hub, but with a INNR zigbee indoor plug in between as a repeater. It didnt work better when the Smart+ where paired to my Hue hub either even though that meant that I had some zigbee bulbs as near as two meters away. As I have understand it the Osram Smart+ plugs are a complete mess as many others have the same issue on mutiple platforms if you search in Svenska Hemautomatiseringsgruppen on Facebook. (I understand from your name that you are from Sweden just like me :slightly_smiling_face:)

So I put my hope to a way in the future to upgrade the firmware through Hubitat. I’ll also will try to get som more zigbee stuff to act as repeaters.

Before getting the Hubitat I invested in a ConBee II-stick which I used to update all five plugs to latest FW, can't say it did much difference though.
I'm looking for some stable replacements, but since I invested quite a sum for these, I thought I'd exhaust all possibilities first.

Jupp, from Sweden here too! I have read up some in Svenska Hemautomatiseringsgruppen as well.
