I have a group that contains both dimmers and switches. When I turn off the group in a rule, everything works as expected. But when I turn on the group by doing a set level to 95%, only the dimmers turn on but the switches remain off. Is there a way to turn the switches on as well? Or is this a limitation of mixed devices in a group.
Switches don't suport "Set Level," so that's why this doesn't work as-is. But the Groups app recently introduced the "Command mixed devices" option. If you enable that, it will send an "On" to switch devcies when you run commands on a group device that would normally turn a bulb or switch on. So, enabling that should do what you want.
