I cloned a motion detector managing a switch. my Room lighting rule uses 5 distinct modes - each with a different bulb percentage when triggered.
The clone came across with all 5 modes at 100%. they didn't make the journey.

Not seeing this problem. I just cloned a multi-mode Room Lights app, and all of the mode values came into the new instance just like the old. Export/Import/Clone makes a complete copy of the app settings and state. Room Lights keeps these values in state. So it's pretty hard to see this failing specifically for Room Lights, as it would fail for all apps if it didn't reliably copy state.
Perhaps take before and after screenshots of the mode setup page, where the values per mode are shown.
