Probably missing something obvious

Installed pushover, signed up for app, installed on phone, added API key and user key.
Question now is how do i use it? I can type text and it sends to device. i want it to send a specific text when a sensor is activated. not sure what to do now... Built in motion sensor app and simple rules app only allow for lights for some reason.
what am i missing?

TIA

Bill

Install the notifications app. One of the choices you will get will be to send notifications via Pushover.

Beat me to it.

You can use Rule Machine too, but that is a much more complicated way to do it.

Thought i had it all figured out but now something new... A different sensor is activating my rules. why would that happen What does "last motion" mean as that's whats being triggered by a different sensor.

I'm just dumb. improperly named sensor triggering. OK so far.
