Would this be a good device for activating home/away modes?

Any other suggestions for this purpose?
Has anyone had any success using an android phone for presence detection? I do not want to use IFTTT or any cloud based solution. The whole idea here is to be self contained and local.

These smartthings fobs have been the most reliable presence sensors for me.

I bought two of those because many people said they work well, haven’t used them yet.

There are quite a few general threads and presence App threads. I’d suggest searching and reading those to know all the options, many of which are local.

unfortunately, Lowes had ended their Iris line. These are no longer available.

My ST arrival sensor arrived I set up "Home" and "Away" triggers to turn my single Wyze Cam ON/OFF. I'll test it for a few days to see how reliable it is. I don't expect any trouble.

The Wyze Cam is a different post.......
