Probably jumping in way over my head - I'd like to be able to poll all my window contact sensors and have Alexa report which ones are open. How would I go about accomplishing this? My programming skills are limited so please explain in detail.
Could you explain in a little more detail exactly what you mean? Do you mean:
- That Alexa should call out the status of each contact sensor as it changes?
or - That at a set time, you want Alexa to verbally report the status of all your contact sensors?
I ask because #1 is achieved easily using just Alexa routines. #2 will require using either Echo Speaks or Alexa TTS.
If it's not too much trouble, I'd really be curious to know how to do both methods you indicated.
