Physical vs digital switch as a trigger

C-8 Pro platform 2.4.3.177
Using a Kasa HS200 Plug Switch as a trigger.
My initial testing indicates that the action is triggered by both the Physical Switch and a Digital Switch regardless of what is specified in the trigger.
Reading multiple posts seems to indicate that this may be dependent on the driver (I am using the Kasa Integration).
Can someone illuminate this before I spend time working around this?

Trigger the switch both manually (physically) then by command from the hub (digitally). Then go to the devices page > events tab. Do you see the two events enunciated as 'Physical' and 'Digital' there? That would prove whether or not the driver supports it. Example below from one of my Fibaro Dimmers which do support it:
