Hi All,
I may be missing something but what I want to do is use a button to pause or restart all of my motion sensor rules. I see you can pause RM but nothing for SA via a button.
TIA - Bill

How are you pausing your Rule Machine rules? If by "button" you mean an actual button in the app interface, SAR offes this feature as well. For automating the pausing, SAR works a bit differently but should ultimately be able to get the same behavior--look at the "Restrictions" feature.
Sorry, I wasn't clear. When my maids come in the house to clean I'd like to be able to push a button (same one as turns on all lights in the house, an actual button) and disable/pause all motion lighting so they don't go off and on while cleaning. After they leave I'll double click to turn all back off and would like to enable the motion lighting again.
Make sense?
Bill
Sure! But how are you doing this now? It sounds like you have something similar set up, but I'm not sure what.
If you don't care for it to necessarily be similar, here's one idea...
With SAR, you could create a Button Controller "button rule," then pause or resume any type of rule (Rule Machine, Basic Rule, Room Lighting, SAR, etc.) based on events from your button device. For example:
I created a virtual switch to work with a very similar situation, if I understand you correctly. I sometimes have to leave the house while my housecleaner is working. To stop my "goodbye" routine from activating, I created a virtual switch and labelled it " Goodby Disable". Then I added a restriction to my "Goodbye" basic rules routine to only run when not disabled by the "Goodbye Disable" switch being turned on.
Actually I think you solved my issues! TY
Glad I could help
