Pairing Multiple Z-Wave LR Devices

I'm pairing several lr devices at the same time, since they are on the same circuit. After including in Smart Start, I energized the circuit and only one of four paired. They all eventually paired, but I did cycle the breaker a couple times.

What is the preferred procedure to pair multiple lr devices?

Thanks.

I'm interested in what the experts have to say, but for me, since LR is new and still seems to be somewhat WIP, if I had multiple LR devices I'd pair them one at a time. Especially since they don't care about the mesh, you have a lot more freedom no matter where you are placing them in/around the house.

I was trying to minimize trips to the basement.

I don't see why you couldn't do them all at once. SmartStart will keep trying until they have been included (and again if they get excluded). Are you sure they wouldn't have included if you didn't cut the breaker and just waited a bit longer? It seems unlikely that there were any failed inclusion attempts if you didn't have to reset or do a general exclusion on the device to make it successful on the next attempt. And since the hub takes the SmartStart name you specified as of several platform updates ago, confusion should be minimized if you add more than one at a time (unlike before, one reason I rarely used it).

That being said, I'm not sure I've ever tried more than one at a time. So there could be something odd here, but it seems unlikely and might have just been a matter of time...

No, I'm not. Next time.

Not having any luck pairing multiple LR devices.
Chokes up Z-wave, nothing works.
Multiple LR ghosts now.
Isn't that special.

I did a post in a related thread.
Long story short, no you can't.
It seems you can't even power up some lr devices and then smartstart pair only one.
Power up one device at a time seems to be the way.
And I'm up to 8 lr ghosts.
edit: It locked up again.

Well, it hung in there overnight, so I'm optimistic my plan could work. Slow, yes, but it could work.

Well, it did work.
Did I mention I have bad knees, lol.?
