Which one(s) of the motion sensors in the Compatibility List can be used outdoors?
The Hue Outdoor Motion Sensor seems to be well liked.
The Hue sensor above works great, but it isn't cheap. I've had one on my porch for about a year and it has been rock solid. Despite what the packaging says, it does pair and work directly with habitat.
+1... paired directly to Hubitat...no Hue hub.
Are you using a Phillips Hue Hub or controlling through the Hubitat?
If you have a mounting spot for it, the Homeseer FLS100+ G2 works well and has built-in drivers.
I have 2, one outdoor and one indoor. Both are paired directly to habitat, and not in any way connected to my hue hub. They work great! I use the lux capability on the outdoor sensor on my back porch to help control interior lighting in my living room (it has four large floor to ceiling windows facing out onto the porch. Works very well. they have both been very reliable,
I use two of the outdoor Hue's on my front deck in a False Motion Reduction Zone instance for delivery notifications. One facing straight out from the front door and the second sensor at close to ninety degrees under the deck railing.
It's been pretty much 100% accurate and reliable.
Cheaper One

It is super fast in detection.
I used 4 Hue Outdoor sensors in AZ and now use 4 of them in PA. They just work.
I have a version of this NEO sensor and wouldn't trust it to be outdoors.
Maybe in an enclosed porch.
Those are good for outdoor locations?
I have two Zooz outdoor motion detectors that are dependable. They are connected to a USB feed, so no batteries. I have several Hue indoor motions and they're great. Do the outdoor Hue motions just work off battery power?
Yes, but the batteries last a very long time.
The batteries last a long time indoors for sure. The indoor ones have some kind of AA or AAA standard batteries, as I recall-nothing fancy. Same with the outdoors?
2 AA batteries - alkaline.
Thanks.
